Say yes to fake fur – fun fur or faux fur, the material made of synthetic fibers that are sewn onto a polyester backing. This technique was first used in 1929 and became commercially available since the 1950s via the France based company Tissavel. This company supplies to Chanel and Prada with custom made material.
We strive for a world without fur and the increasing popularity of fake fur is mainly credited to the animal rights organisations and their intensive campaigns and lobby activities.
When we recently visited Zara in the Kalverstraat, Amsterdam we noticed that they have a perfect fur like coat in their assortment. It’s thick, colourful and portraits the image of a lavish life style. By the way you don’t have to worry to break the bank before you can wear this.
Fake fur in the most colourful way possible is one of the key trends of the fall/winter fashion season 2016/2017. It’s time to walk the streets with style with this explosion of creativity of patterns and patchwork we never have not yet witnessed before.
Inspire on it!

Fashion is based on a pendulum effect,” says Sandy Black, research professor at The London College of Fashion. “Designers need to satisfy a constant desire for novelty. Trends live for a while then people get bored and there is a polar reaction against them. Colour comes after black.
This one certainly caught our attention. This season Furs got the most exciting combinations with introducing of new shapes and silhouettes.
When I look at this one I got a kind desire of cupcake, sweet colours as cupcakes 👇🏼
